American government has threatened to cut the Aid for Pakistani government if they dont release Raymond Davis.

foreign aid never comes with no strings attached. thats why people who want to become powerful are advised to despise the free lunch.

in the case of Raymond Davis, Pakistan is being asked to give back the American who killed two Pakistanis. the question here is not who was right and who was wrong. the question is who is feeding whom? without aid Pakistasn will clearly falter economically. that this nation can not afford.

Here is some news about the democracy in Afghanistan. it is working.

well, that must be good news, No?

well not exactly. it is working the same like in many third world countries. there are fraud elections and the ballot boxes are stuffed for the ruling person.

consider the recent election. Hamid Karzai’s supporters had already stuffed the ballot boxes before the elections even started. at some places there were more votes than registered voters. for example:

In Helmand, for instance, Western officials believe that in the district of Garmser about 5,000 people voted. But the ballot boxes arriving in the provincial capital, Lashkar Gah, contain about 20,000. In Musa Qala the discrepancy was between 9,000 and 18,000. Mr Hadee, the IEC official, now says that turnout in Helmand was 25%. Some Western officials reckon 20% of votes nationally may be fraudulent.

but that is not all. the country is  in bad shape. August tied for the deadliest month.

Whatever happened to the Dream of a democratic Afghanistan.

so the Iraqi government has put on new restrictions on the movement of the American troops. and we hope that the Americans would presumably do what the but wait a second. Who are the masters here and who are the servants? who has brought this government into power in the first place? wasnt it because of these American troops?

lets start a conspiracy theory. maybe the Americans have told them to issue this directive so that the world can see how “sovereign” the new Iraq is. plus it will help them to leave the country with grace.” ok the government of Iraq does not want it so we are leaving.”

if that is not the case,  Americans must surely be looking for a leash right now.

do they really care what the Iraqi government says?

do they really care what the Iraqi government says?

The Swat operation continues with full vigor. and the secrity forces are claiming that they have been eliminating the Taliban threat. in the new reports, the Army has cleared the Peochar area of these militants, which was their strongest place.

Why do we need the approval of the United States for everything? why does the US have to be the judge of the what we are doing right or wrong? I still can not understand that.

Barak Obama wants a world without nukes. in his words it is the moral responsibilty of the United States to rid the world of the nuclear weapons. yeah we all want a world with peace and love. such a rosy picture he is showing us.

now lets come back the reality. The United States would be the last state to give up its stockpiles of nuclear weapons. why would it? they have more than their deterrence value. they are a source of terror for the biggest empire in the history of the world.

probably Mr. Obama thinks that the Nukes are not good for other countries. but i dont think he will ever be able to persuade the congress to disarm the nuclear weapons. there are always “threats” to the security of the United States, arent there?

dumbness personified

dumbness personified

Sarah Palin has lashed out at the media. she said that Caroline Kennedy is being given fair treatment in her bid for the Senate as compared to her own for the White House.  She does not understand the reasons, but i think we do.

NYs next senator

NY's next senator

Prior to the 2008 Presidential Campaign, many people did not know about who was the governor of the State of Alaska. and then she suddenly jumped to the big stage. and ever since then she was the talk of the town. the reason was simple. she was only one of the fifty governors. nobody was bothered that 2% of the American governors were dumb. but if she had made it to the VP office, people would really have been bothered if 100% of their VP was occupied by dumbness.

the same logic could be applied to Ms. Kennedy. even if she makes it to the senate, she will just comprise 1% of the total senate. that wont get much attention even if she is as dumb as Ms. Palin.

in the shoe throw incident in Baghdad, the Iraqi journalist did something that the world leaders had been wanting for days: rising up the demand.

the demand for the kind of shoes he threw at President Bush has already risen to high proportions. the company that claims to make them had never sold more than 15,000 of that brand in any year. now they have received a staggering 370,000 shoe orders.

so i guess people should start throwing shoes at the hated leaders. be warned though, the law of diminishing marginal returns applies here too. so as the shoe throws rise, there will be less and less marginal demand increases.

its worth a try, though.

ever since the Mumbai hotel siege, we have been hearing constant war talk. sometimes it goes cold and then hot again. India had talked of attacking Pakistan unilaterally, according to some of the local newspapers here. Pakistan has said that it would defend its borders. Pakistan has urged for peace several times and has said that its insistence on peace should not be taken for weakness. Sonia Gandhi has said almost the same words. and yet the tension continues.

part of this indian aggression could be attributed to the fact that india thinks that it is now a super power. that it can do anything and, like the United States, no one will say anything. part of it has to do with the Indian media. so is India really thinking of acting unilaterally? or is all the hot talk just singing along the media?

here is the situation. both the countries have nuclear capabilities. both can deliver these weapons to huge distance. the use of nuclear weapons in this case would be disastrous. there would be countless deaths. Is a Nuclear Holocaust is what is wanted by the Indian Media or by the Indian Politicians?

whoever fires the first shots will be responsible for all the deaths that this war would bring. people’s lives, not superficial patriotism, is what they should be focusing on.

walking in their shoes

walking in their shoes

so we have seen it on TV and heard it on the radio and seen it written in the press, when the President of the United States had to go through the most embarrassing situation. an Iraqi journalist threw his shoes at President Bush. the journalist has been charged with insulting the Iraqi state.

I  think that is not fair.  Iraq has gone through so much. maybe the journalist wanted the President Bush to experience what the ordinary Iraqis have been experiencing.   He lent him his shoes so the President could walk in his shoes to see what a mess the American bombing has made of Iraq.

there is nothing that the Bush Administration has not done. on the top probably is the way it has used intelligence reports to suit its agenda. it fabricated intelligence reports in Iraq. and now it is doing the same in the case of Pakistan. there has been a buzz lately that Pakistan could be attacked in the near future.

But that is not all. the distant future does not look good at all. five republican candidates have said that they will attack Pakistan to root out Al-Qaeda.

the question is: what are the American leaders thinking? are they just voicing the common man’s concern, or are they just making up issues. and if they keep on acting on the wrong intelligence, where will that lead the American nation to?

what do you think?
